Ingredients
For the salad
- 1 Bunch of Kale
- 1/2 Red Onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup Sliced Almonds (optional)
For the dressing
- 3/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Garlic, finely minced
- 1/2 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
Instructions
For the Dressing:
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
For the Salad:
Step 1
Separate kale, and remove leaves from stems. Rinse well.
Step 2
Fill a pot with water and place a double boiler on top.
Step 3
Steam the kale for about 1-2 minutes. You want it to be softer than it began, but the texture is really up to you.
Step 4
Place kale in the freezer for about 5 minutes in you prefer your salad cold.
Step 5
Add red onion and almonds and toss salad.
Step 6
Top with dressing.
