Dietary Dangers

Your health depends upon avoiding these top dietary dangers. These foods and additives contribute to disease, inflammation, obesity, and death.

  1. Avoid oils made from soy, corn, safflower, sunflower, canola, cottonseed and all other vegetable oils. Olive oil, walnut oil, coconut oil, flax, and supplement oils (borage, etc) are ok. Our bodies do not handle vegetable oils well, as our bodies are not evolutionarily suited to process them.
  2. Avoid aspartame, Splenda, NutraSweet, Sweet n Low, and Equal. These are all carcinogenic and are neurotoxins, causing brain cells to die.
  3. Avoid white flour products.
  4. Don’t eat commercially processed foods such as cookies, cakes, crackers, TV dinners, soft drinks, packaged sauce mixes, etc.
  5. Avoid all refined sweeteners such as sugar, dextrose, glucose and high fructose corn syrup.
  6. Avoid all hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats and oils.
  7. Do not use polyunsaturated oils for cooking, sauteing or baking. Polyunsaturated oils include olive, corn, cottonseed, flaxseed, grape seed, safflower, soybean, sunflower, walnut, sesame, and pumpkin. Their fats have a fragile structure that go rancid and degrade easily when heated, making them inflammatory and unhealthy. Use animal fats and butter for cooking.
  8. Avoid fried foods. These contain trans fats.
  9. Avoid products containing protein powders. Most protein powders are isolates of proteins – not good for health. Use whole protein powders like whey, hemp or other whole food proteins.
  10. Avoid pasteurized milk; do not consume low fat milk, skim milk, powdered milk or imitation milk products. Eat raw dairy, it has more vitamins and enzymes and the healthy fats are not denatured by pasteurization. Factory farms must pasteurize because their farming practices are breeding grounds for bacteria and disease.
  11. Avoid factory farm-produced eggs. This usually means eggs labeled cage-free or free range. These labels mean nothing. They must be organic to guarantee cage-free or free range. Buy grass-fed or pastured eggs.
  12. Avoid factory-farmed meats. These meats are full of antibiotics, disease, parasites, and fed GMO corn and soy. Eat organic, grass-fed meat whenever possible. You want to eat animals that are eating what nature intended them to eat. They are healthier and so will you be when you eat them.
  13. Avoid highly processed luncheon meats and sausage containing MSG, nitrates, and other additives. This means avoid Subway.
  14. Avoid rancid and improperly prepared seeds, nuts and grains found in granolas, quick-rise breads and extruded breakfast cereals, as they block mineral absorption and cause intestinal distress.
  15. Avoid canned, sprayed, waxed, bioengineered or irradiated fruits and vegetables. A lot of conventional produce, nuts, etc are irradiated – microwaved – to kill bacteria. This process kills the food, but is not allowed with organic produce.
  16. Avoid artificial food additives, especially MSG, hydrolyzed vegetable protein and aspartame, which are neurotoxins. Most soups, sauce and broth mixes and commercial condiments contain MSG, even if not so labeled. Many foods labeled ‘No MSG’ actually contain MSG under another name. Read ingredient labels.
  17. Avoid caffeine-containing beverages such as coffee, tea and soft drinks.
  18. Avoid aluminum-containing foods such as commercial salt, baking powder and antacids. Do not use aluminum cookware, aluminum foil, and aluminum-containing deodorants. Avoid beverages in aluminum cans.
  19. Do not drink fluoridated water – tap water. Use a filter. Better yet, drink only spring water.
  20. Avoid synthetic vitamins and foods containing them. Anything that says ‘fortified’ – a marketing ploy – is sprayed with synthetic vitamins, which suppresses the immune system. Only take natural vitamins or food-based vitamins. See my blog on 90% of vitamins are Synthetic.
  21. Avoid a vegan diet. Your body needs animal protein to obtain adequate protein. This diet can cause serious mental and physical health problems and cause permanent damage. I became ill on this diet, due to vitamin, mineral, fat, and protein deficiencies. And I took every precaution. While plants do contain protein, they do not digest well and are not easily assimilated by our bodies.
